Randi Atkins' passion for storytelling through editing began at a young age and has evolved throughout her career. She believes that editing has the power to shape audience emotions and create unforgettable cinematic experiences.
Randi co-edited Sorry, Baby, the directorial debut of Eva Victor, alongside Alex O'Flinn. The film premiered in the US Dramatic Competition at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award and was acquired by A24 for a summer theatrical release.
With a diverse range of experience in both episodic television and feature films, Randi has contributed to major projects including EXPATS (Amazon), The Starling (Netflix), and Brittany Runs a Marathon (Amazon). Her ability to adapt to various genres and workflows has made her a sought-after collaborator on both creative and technical fronts.
This extensive industry experience led Randi to create and teach an Assistant Editing class at the American Film Institute , where she mentors aspiring editors, sharing both her industry insights and hands-on knowledge. Passionate about passing on what she’s learned, Randi credits much of her artistic vision and technical growth to the mentorship she received from esteemed editors: Peter Teschner, Matt Friedman A.C.E., Avril Beukes A.C.E., and Alex O’Flinn A.C.E..
